Rev. Phyllis Wong Mei-Fung
Minister
Phyllis was ordained and appointed as the church’s minister-in-charge in November 2009. In June 2024, she stepped down from the position of Minister-in-charge, as part of the process to prepare for retirement in February 2025. She worked as a social worker in NGOs and as a teacher in the Polytechnic University before she entered into full time Christian Ministry. Phyllis received her theological training in the Divinity School of Chung Chi College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Her main roles in KUC are church service planning, preaching and teaching, pastoral care, marriage ministry, and ecumenical networking. She feels very blessed and proud to be part of KUC: for her open, inclusive and generous spirit that shines within the congregation and the wider community.
Phyllis was born and raised in Hong Kong. Her Chinese name is “Mei Fung” (美鳳), meaning beautiful phoenix. She loves freedom like a bird and is adventurous.
