KUC Midweek Lenten Reflections
When: Wednesdays from 7:30pm t0 8:30pm // 24 Feb - 7 April
Where: Online (via Zoom)
During the Lenten Season, Kowloon Union Church (KUC) will be hosting a weekly time of reflection every Wednesday from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. The weekly reflections will take place online via Zoom and will begin on 24 February through 7 April.
During the time of reflection, we will learn and participate in the spiritual practice of Lectio Divina together as a small group. Lectio Divina means "sacred reading" in Latin, and it is an ancient monastic practice that invites us to read through Scripture together and hear what God might be inviting us into as individuals and a community. As we enter into the Lenten season, we hope this mid-week reflection will be a time to draw closer to God and to one another as we engage Scripture together.
One of the goals from this time is to have a committed small group go through this experience and develop relationships with one another. We want to help create a sense of community within the church and provide opportunities for different people to get to know each other. For that reason, we ask that those who register commit to attending every week (7 sessions altogether) as best as possible. We know that might be difficult for some, but we also hope to do something like this again if you are not able to fully participate this time.
Please register prior to 18 February, so we can plan accordingly. If you do have any questions or concerns, please feel free to include them in the last section of the form below. Once the registration is finalised, we will send out a message with more information and next steps. We look forward to our time together!
