Sunday School and Children's Ministry

We offer Sunday School each Sunday morning; the exception being the first Sunday of the month when we encourage families to worship together. Children leave the main worship space mid-service after Family Time to their respective classes. Please contact Pastor Maggie (Maggie@kuc.hk) for more information on class locations.

In Sunday School we try to use these guidelines in our approach to being with the children:

• That we will provide a ‘space’ that is welcoming for all and where the children can learn to be ‘community’;

• A ‘space’ where all will learn that they are loved and wanted by God and are part of God’s family; where children will grow to know that they have a friend, a relationship with the living God and where they can be equipped to respond to that relationship;

• A space that is safe and secure where the children can learn of other religions and beliefs in an unprejudiced way;       

• A space where children are encouraged to ask questions;

• A space and experiences that will encourage the children to want to know more and ultimately continue on their faith journey. 

In all areas of learning it is above all our aim that we can have fun when we are learning together! 

At the moment we have three basic working groups we have:

• Bubbles for children of Kindergarten age

• Splash for our primary school children

• Teen group for those in secondary school.

Each year during the summer break we also organize a week-long VBS which is not only for the children of the Sunday School but for any child wishing to come.

Bible Studies

Together as a group we decide on the topic or theme for our studies using different resource materials. Together as a group we facilitate the study each week by a different person, who introduces the topic in their own unique style. Together as a group we grow together not only in the knowledge shared of the scriptures but also the knowledge shared with each other.
